We are Independant Baptist Missionaries to the Amazon Basin of Brazil. Sent out of the Twin Ports Baptist Church in Superior, WI.

Sammy had the great privilege to be raised in a Christian home. At the age of eight, one night after the church service in the kitchen, he received the Lord as his personal Lord and Savior. When he was 13 yrs old the Lord called him to be a missionary to the Amazon region of Brazil. While in High School, he participated in a Preachers In Training class held every three weeks by his preacher, J. Mark Wagenschutz. He then attended Heartland Baptist Bible College located in Oklahoma City, OK and interned one year at a local church in the area. For 2 summers he interned at another church in Tulsa, OK which his father pastored at the time. After completing college in 2002 with a bachelors degree in Missions, he married his wife Annessa. They moved back to Superior WI and taught the 9-12 year old kid’s class for a year, and helped his preacher in every way we could.

At the age of 16, Annessa and her family started going to church after many years of being out of church. That year on Easter, she went forward and made a profession of faith but struggled with that for four years after the Lord used the messages from men of God to convict her of her sins. Later, at Heartland Baptist Bible College, after Chapel on September 28, 2000 she was born again! She met Sammy in college and he told her that he was going to be a missionary to Brazil. They took a survey trip to Brazil in 2003. After being there and seeing the people the Lord got hold of their heart. They knew that Brazil is where God wanted them. These dear people need the Gospel just as much as anyone on this earth.

We arrived In Brazil on June 27, 2005. For over a year we lived in Itapua, RO. We attended the Bible Baptist Church of The Valley, started by Missionary Tom Brewer. After teaching and helping with the Sunday School bus route in Itapuã for 1 year, we moved to the Capital of Rondonia. In the city of Porto Velho, God allowed us to find a very good language teacher and also many doors of service opened up. We went to the Liberty Bible Baptist Church. When we started attending there was only our family and Bro. Telmar, who is in training to be the pastor, and his family. We praise the Lord that after lots of visitation, prayer, and Bible preaching, when we moved the church had more families that were members and is now a self-sustaining work.
